COMMERCIAL REGIONAL SALES MANAGER - GULF STATES

As a member of the Commercial Sales Group, the Commercial Sales Representative will report directly to the Vice President of Commercial Sales.  This position has a wide breadth of responsibilities associated with sales and technical service with a focus on always meeting our customers’ needs.   

The ideal candidate must be able to identify market opportunities by understanding customers' applications and translating their needs into products Imtra offers.  The individual must possess the ability and willingness to present products at various levels within customer organizations (e.g. engineering, purchasing, sales, marketing and production) and must be able to effectively close sales opportunities.

This position will be responsible for accounts in TX, LA, MS, AL and Panhandle of FL.  The candidate must be located in a central location to actively service this territory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Independently operate as a technical field salesperson for an assigned geographic region of responsibility on behalf of the Company and the products and brands it represents.

  • Follow a strategy to successfully grow sales of the products represented with existing Commercial customers in the marine industry.

  • Conduct regular visits on prospects, customers, operators and other associated professionals including vessel and site visits to grow business with customers in the assigned region.

  • Provide technical information, as well as, installation and application advice to customers.

  • Determine all required specifications for equipment applications and produce quotations in response to customer requests.

  • Ensure that customer requirements and expectations are met by providing sales and technical support in a professional and timely manner.

  • Plan and implement sales trips with Imtra Product Managers and vendor partners.

  • Must be able to manage an extended sales cycle from concept to build (often collaborating with other Imtra team members throughout the process) and be able to successfully navigate the commercial bidding process.

  • Deliver regular, timely activity reports detailing customer visits and market conditions with a focus on opportunities for growth whether inside the immediate territory or, as they might impact other Imtra territories.

  • Ability to manage relationships with commercial project managers at the build level. 

  • Familiarity with commercial regulations (e.g. Buy America, Jones Act, etc.) and ability to strategically position Imtra products when those regulations are present.

  • Be comfortable with independently prospecting and driving lead generation in existing and adjacent markets including, oil and gas, automotive/transportation and other land-based markets. 

  • The individual must possess the ability and willingness to present to naval architects/designers, purchasing, engineering, and vessel owners/operators.

  • Collaborate with Imtra Product Managers on identifying potential new products either within or outside our current range to promote company growth. 

  • Work in a team environment to fully utilize internal company assets (e.g. – Product Managers, Customer Service, Technical Experts, etc.), as well as, outside resources when responding to customer inquiries.

  • Travel both domestically and internationally, as needed.

  • Attend and participate in industry trade shows, conferences and product training meetings, as required.

Required Achievements and Skills

Skills, Knowledge & Experience
  • Five (5) years of marine sales and/or technical service experience is required.

  • Marine background, including boating experience, is necessary.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products is required. 

  • Comfort working with computerized ERP systems.

Education
  • Associates Degree is required

IMTRA SERVICE TECHNICIAN

We have an immediate opening for a service technician located at our headquarters in New Bedford, MA.  

Imtra’s service department consists of several positions that work closely together as a team. The service technician is an individual role responsible for running and maintaining the service shop, with input and cooperation from other members of the service team, product managers and engineering.  The service technician evaluates, troubleshoots and repairs product. Communicating warranty decisions and repair evaluation, with customers, vendors and team members. This position entails: 

Responsibilities

•    Evaluate and troubleshoot returned product for warranty consideration
•    Repair and rebuilding of failed product
•    Communicate findings with customers, vendors, and team members; verbally and email
•    Record keeping and order entry
•    Maintain workshop

Required Achievements and Skills

•    Basic understanding of DC, AC and Hydraulic components, circuity and troubleshooting
•    Mechanical experience
•    Basic computer skills
•    Prior experience in the Marine Industry and boating
